DaaS, more commonly known as Desktop as a Service or cloud based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), gives users the flexibility to conduct business from any device, without compromising security standards. Users log-in and connect to a centralised desktop pool. With DaaS your organisation can reduce technology complexity as well as administration costs while dramatically enhancing security, backup capability, and the end user experience.

DaaS makes remote connections more efficient, allowing flexibility to log-in and conduct business from any location with an internet connection. Infrastructure and applications can be accessed at a new site/office instantly, and new employees can be up and running in minutes.

PCOIP Technical Overview

DaaS desktop streaming protocol utilises the PCOIP (by Teradici) is 100x more efficient than RDP protocol for end user experience.

The RDP Protocol uses transport layer (TCP) where PCoIP uses UDP layer. PCoIP compresses, secures the application (remote OS) and stored into secured servers and sends it in a high bandwidth (or using available bandwidth) to the end user.

RDP doesn't care about bandwidth on what the user is experiencing. But PCoIP is all about the speed, if there is a high bandwidth connection, it will provide a end user experience with hiqh quality; if there is a low quality bandwidth, the end user experience quality will be adjusted accordingly.
